Paul Webber '81 New Class Agent for Class of 1981
"As the new class agent for the Class of 1981, I look forward to working with members of our class to support Saint John’s and one another. I want to thank Scott Nelson for his many years of service as class agent; we made the transition at the SJU Alumni Association Summit in May. There are many opportunities for engagement and involvement and I invite you to contact me for more information. View the new Alumni Association web pages to learn about the Four Cornerstones, checkout upcoming events and find ways to support Saint John’s."
You Won't Be Alone if You Go To Homecoming Next Year...

Saint John's Golf Outing Held Monday, July 14
I was at the Saint John's Golf outing
yesterday and it was a hoot!!!! 302 golfers and TWO courses. You gotta sign up for next year's event as soon as you get the email from SJU--even if you don't know how to hit the little white thing!!! The format is best ball. We ('81) had 4 foursomes–the Zweber Team, GunderRocks Team, Rat Team and Hoban Team–plus a couple others playing with other groups (Development etc.). Next summer I hope we can get 8+ foursomes signed up (16 carts) and I am working on getting all the carts in a single "line" so we can shoot some smack at each other as we are passing on the fairways or in line at the various tee boxes... Some of us (me) had only 4 shots used and others were so good they could play professionally–well o.k. perhaps "play competitively with the Johnny golf team" would be better–(Rich Hoban.) Rumor had it that GunderRocks won the event with low total of 58 but some us figured that they might as well have said 53–at the bar after dinner of course. Event programmers had the NCAA Division 3 SJU GOLF (not football) Champs at the dinner and a GREAT time was had by all (even the food was good not to mention the kegs of Johnny ale and at no charge!) Go to the www.SJUAlum.com page and GET REGISTERED AS AN ALUMNI, then, watch for the SJU email to be sent out in February AND SIGN UP in order to give out some smack at fellow golfers. - Paul Webber '81

Post a Memory
Many of us have memories of Saint John’s that we like to share with other Johnnies when we get together. Now, even if we can’t be together in person, we can still share some of our favorite thoughts about our alma mater and our time together. To do this, please email your story to Thom Woodward. The Saint John’s staff will post these memories, and we’ll soon have a link so we can read what our fellow classmates have to say. To learn more about where your classmates are today, visit Class Notes.
