Many of us have memories of Saint John’s that we like to share with other Johnnies when we get together. What's New with the Class of '71

Judge Lewis Nixon '71 Sworn in as The 39th President of The Illinois Judge's Association

Classmate Lewis Nixon has been a Judge in Chicago, IL in The Circuit Court of Cook County and has been a part of The Illinois Judge Association (IJA). May 21st, 2010 he was installed as the 39th President of The IJA. Illinois Supreme Court Cheif Justice Mary Ann G. McMorrow (left) officiated his swearing in.

Muller '71 seeing success in World Masters Track & Field

Classmate Tim Muller has been as of late, winning medals at World Masters Track and Field events. His most recent competition was the US Masters National Championships, where he won the gold in the shotput (for the third year in a row) and gold in the discus (for the second year in a row). In Masters competition, athletes are divided up into 5-year age groups, starting at age 35. Tim's next stop will be in Helsinki, Finland, to compete in another World Masters Track and Field meet, held July 28 - August 8. He will be competing against 30 other European and Asian athletes in his age group.

What is a Class Committee?

Class Committee members are volunteers from each class who gather to enjoy the kind of camaraderie that only Johnnies can share. They work together to connect other classmates to Saint John’s and to each other.

So How Can I Get Involved?

If you’d like to be involved with our class committee, please contact Thom Woodward, 320.363.7303. Over the coming year, our class will be working on supporting the Four Cornerstones of the Alumni Association:

1. Student Recruitment: Asking classmates to refer potential students to the CSB/SJU Admission Office. (To do this, please visit the Online Referral Page.)

2. Student Preparation: Preparing current Johnnies for life after graduation through job placement, internships, and mentoring.

3. Alumni Connections: Enriching the lives of our 20,000 alumni and engaging them in support of the Saint John's community, as well as reconnecting them in the online community or at SJU events.

4. Resource Development: Addressing the financial needs of the SJU community by supporting the Annual Fund or Capital Campaign.

We'd love to see you get involved, so please contact Thom Woodward today. The Class Committee is a great way to get reconnected to Saint John's or to strengthen the connections that you already have.
