Vande Hei '89 Selected for Astronaut Corps
Mark T. Vande Hei '89 is one of nine members of the newest class of NASA astronaut candidates. He and the eight others were selected from a pool of 3,500 applicants. After successfully completing a two-year training regimen, Vande Hei will become an active astronaut in NASA’s space-flying ranks. Vande Hei is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and is a flight controller for the International Space Station at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Read the article here.
