Wicka ’90 Is Featured Entrepreneur

Tom Wicka ’90, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of direct-marketing company IWCO Direct, was keynote speaker at the Entrepreneurial Leadership Series luncheon in July.

Wicka joined IWCO Direct in January 2001 as an equity partner with Jim Anderson, CEO of IWCO Direct. Speaking to an audience of 130 alumni, students and faculty at the Minneapolis Club on July 10, he described their experiences growing IWCO Direct from $85 million in 2001 to an estimated $302 million in 2008. His talk covered such topics as business turnarounds and the sale of a business through the limited auction process.

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Series is sponsored by the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship of Saint John’s University and the College of Saint Benedict. The series is now in its fifth year.
